ESU Registration Information

Registration information for individuals outside the immediate Emporia, KS area:
Single rooms are available for an additional fee, which is paid to Elderhostel at the time of registration in the Elderhostel Program. ** If you have requested a double room but do not have a roommate, we will try to find you a roommate within our registrants. If a roommate is unavailable, you will automatically be registered for a single occupancy, but charged only for double.

KansasRegistration information for individuals who live near Council Grove or Emporia, KS:

Persons who live within daily commuting distance of a program site (Council Grove, Emporia ) may elect to enroll in a program as commuter students. This permits students to stay in their own homes at night, thereby saving the cost of the motel. The reduced fee permits students to participate in all of the other program activities and meals.

To register as a commuter student, contact Elderhostel by one of the methods listed above for regular registration. If calling by phone inform the registration staff that you want to register as a commuter student for one of Emporia State University’s Elderhostel programs. If you are registering by fax or by mail, be sure to indicate on your form before you send it that you want to register as a commuter student. If you are registering on-line, be sure to indicate on the registration form your desire to register as a commuter. For information regarding the commuter registration fee, contact Carolyn Nelson by a means listed below.
